Printing Process

My photographs are printed using the giclee printing method. In the giclee process, ink is sprayed on to your choice of media in millions of colors utilizing continuous tone technology. My photographs are printed using a state-of-the-art Epson large format 11880 printer at maximum resolution.

Printing media

I offer the finest printing media - choose from:

Archival print canvas
Fine art archival textured paper
Archival matte paper

Canvas prints

For canvas prints, the finest Epson or Fredrix canvas is used, the image is printed and then coated multiple times with a protective giclee finish, and finally stretched and stapled onto your choice of either three-quarter inch deep (Standard) or one and a half inch deep (Gallery Wrap) Fredrix stretcher bars.

1. Gallery Wrap canvas is extremely popular for its modern look and the cost savings as no frame is required to hang the work.

2. Canvas prints which are to be framed are stapled onto to ¾ inch deep stretcher bars which fit into any frame with at least a ½ inch rabbit (depth)

Canvas prints can be custom ordered in any size depending on your needs. Gallery wrapped prints are available in sizes from 8x10 up to 36x48.

Paper Prints

3. Prints on Epson fine art textured paper can be framed without glazing (glass or plexiglass). This museum quality paper yields brilliant colors and deep blacks and is engineered to deliver the highest resolution and color saturation possible.

4. I also offer economical faux mat archival matte paper giclees. These prints are made with a printed border that is so lifelike; most people never realize they're not matted. This allows the print to be placed in any standard frame.

The most popular sizes for framed prints (overall all size including mat) are:
